Didn't expect the airflow holes to make such a difference, but being able to breathe easily through the 2-inch ball takes the worry out of it. The black plastic is smooth and the strap adjusts fine for a snug fit.

We were a little nervous trying this for the first time, but the 2-inch ball with the airflow holes made it way less intimidating than I expected. The plastic is smooth and easy to clean, and it stayed comfortable for a good hour.
